Visibility is typically about 100 feet, water temperature hovers at near 80 degrees Fahrenheit, and the barrier reef calls for generally calm seas. All this plus 20-30 foot swim throughs and deeply cut spur and groove reefs add to the allure of Ambergris Caye. When there, be sure to check out Shark Ray Alley, a great place to get upclose and personal with some of the local aquatic life.
Plenty for landlubbers to do, as well. The Mayan ruins are legendary, and the rainforest provides a diverse group of creatures, including jaguars and rare birds.

My 8th Live-a-board and the best accommodations, roomy stateroom and both bunks were lower. Food, outstanding, with a variety that would satisfy anyone. The company and a very professional crew went out of their way to make sure dives went off without a hitch and any bump taken care of. Enjoyed the trip very much.

Did prefer the Aggressor over the Dancer. Weather and seas prevented us from getting to the better sites. Viz was less than expected. Capt and crew were great. Best find for me was a large batfish. Dive gear arrived on the 3rd day thanks to United Airlines.
