Nautilus Gallant Lady
Sea of Cortez
Mexico
Nautilus is an experienced and safety minded company with dive liveaboards that operate off the coast of Mexico. Each of their various itineraries is designed to provide divers the very best underwater and topside experiences. The areas they feature are:
Guadalupe Island - for Great White Shark Diving in aqua blue water, with 125 feet or more of visibility. The island itself is 25 miles long and provides a sheltered and calm anchorage during the 3 dive days. Nautilus puts as many cages in the water as needed to provide “freestyle shark diving”, which means that certified divers always get 3 or more submersible cage dives and everyone gets virtually unlimited diving in the surface cages. Cages open early and stay open late. They ensure you get a full dive day on even your last day.
Socorro Island - boasts a population of giant mantas that literally seek out interaction with divers and snorkelers. While mantas are the main reason to voyage out to Socorro, there are lots of other animals to see, including schooling hammerheads and silky sharks, plus 10 other species of sharks, bottlenose dolphins that consistently hang out with divers at certain dive sites, large schools of pelagic fish, and, in season, humpback whales.
Sea of Cortez - is a unique and different destination with its own charm – and generally calm water. Whale sharks are still resident seasonally off La Paz, sea lions at Los Islotes, hammerhead sharks at El Bajo, mantas at La Reyna, bull sharks at Cabo Pulmo, Humpback whales during the winter and huge schools of fish are abundant all year.

While the Sea of Cortez is home to many endemic creatures, it also hosts a wide range of migratory species, such as the Manta Ray, Leatherback Sea Turtle, and the Humpback Whale. The Sea of Cortez also sustains a large number of marine mammals and with its many islands it is an important nesting zone for thousands of seabirds and nursing grounds for migratory and resident fish species.
