Expect to see something Big while diving with Rocio Del Mar! Dive untouched walls and reefs which contain many species of fish endemic to this region alone – as well as witness migratory whales, great and small, exotic macro critters, schooling hammerhead sharks and even sea lion colonies.
Not diving? Maybe you’re kayaking, hiking, and exploring remote uninhabited islets.
There is plenty of room aboard the Rocio Del Mar to store you dive gear, and the experienced crew will guide you safely through your diving experience. Most of the diving in the region is suitable for beginner divers. Bring your wetsuit – while the visibility ranges from 50-100ft, the water temperature ranges from 75-85f, depending on itinerary and time of year.
Bring your appetite, the Rocio Del Mar serves up deliciously fresh food for hungry divers! Breakfast is American style with waffles, eggs and fresh fruits, lunch is typically burgers, sandwiches, vegetables fruit and pasta salads to keep your energy high for an afternoon full of diving! Dinner features fresh salads and soups, local fresh seafood dishes and savory spices paired with pork, chicken or tofu – limited dietary requests can be accommodated.

Socorro Island is renown for big animal underwater encounters.
You may even be lucky to witness hammerhead sharks schooling, and see several species of shark on one dive!
Manta Rays, the gentle giants of the sea may also cruise by for a friendly interaction, and since they can grow to an impressive 22ft wingtip to wingtip,
it will be a dive you won't soon forget!
Make sure you keep your eyes open for whales and dolphins, too, as the area is known for being a breeding zone for Humpback whales.
