Orange Hill Diving
Stuart Cove's Dive Bahamas is the house recommended scuba diving center. They have been in business over 30 years and are known for their pink dive shirts and their world class shark dives. Stuart Cove’s Dive Bahamas picks you up from the resort and returns you after an exciting day of diving. It’s about a 20min shuttle ride to and from Orange Hill Inn. They typically do 2 am morning dives. From Orange Hill Inn you could visit 36 dive sites just on the west side of the island.
Moreover, while staying at Orange Hill Inn, you may see walls, wrecks, and/or reefs. Some of the dive sites include
Sand Chute, the
James Bond Wreck, Bahama Mama, Elkhorn Gardens and Treasures Wreck. The shark dive encounters are located at
Shark Wall and the
Arena, or at
Shark Wall North and the
Runway. Stuart Cove’s Dive Bahamas also hires out charter boats, does scuba dive instruction, SNUBA, and Sub-Bahamas (one-person underwater pilot).
Attractions and Activities
Orange Hill Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner but only for certain hours and they are closed Wednesday and Sunday night. However, there are plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from for those specific nights. The resort also is home to The Honor Bar. The bar opens at 5pm, but the bartender doesn’t start till 6pm, so until then, you are on the honor system. As for activities, you can swim in the pool or enjoy a lounge chair. The beach across the street from Orange Hill Inn is a favorite site of locals and has no vendors. You can also walk to a cave to see some fruit bats. They do a grocery run about once a day and you can join the resort staff for a ride if you wish. Washing machines are onsite, but why wash when sand is like a free souvenir?
