Sau Bay Fiji Retreat is a scuba diving resort located across from Taveuni Island and on the remote coastline of Vanua Levi Island. This boutique resort has 4 beach style cottages or bures. So, 3 structures are Ocean Front Cottages with large private decks and a king size bed or twin beds. The 1 Ocean Front Twin Bedroom Suite at Sau Bay has a master bedroom and a 2
nd bedroom or private lounge area. French doors from both rooms lead to a large deck. Moreover, all 4 accommodations have optional air-conditioning, granite wet bars and fridge, ceiling fans and TV with DVD, and robes.

Sau Bay Diving
From this scuba diving resort, you are 10 minutes away from
Great White Wall and
Rainbow Reef and 3 miles from the barrier reef. You also most likely crossed the famous Somo Somo Strait to arrive at the resort by boat. The resort offers 2-tank boat dives following breakfast. Between dives you may spend on board the boat or exploring a deserted beach. A couple of times a week they offer a 3-tank boat trip and they usually have a picnic after the 2
nd dive. Nitrox is available at Sau Bay if pre-booked. Free shore diving is provided with 5-day packages. There are over 25 dive sites near the resort and some of them include
Dolphin Bay, Manta Ray Point, Coral Garden, Blue Ribbon Eel Garden, the Zoo, the Ledge, Dakuniba Pass, and
the Freeway.
Attractions and Activities
Breakfast is included at Sau Bay with fresh tropical fruits and bread or you can upgrade to a hot breakfast. More importantly, meals are planned and chosen by the chef. So, lunch is a 2-course affair, and dinner is a 3-course delight. They stock wine from New Zealand, Australia, and Chile, and French champagne. They also have Tropical cocktails, spirits, and beer. Furthermore, they have room service available. The staff is also happy to help you arrange a romantic dinner for two. In addition, pre-dinner snacks at the bar are served each night at 6:30pm. As for activities at Sau Bay Fiji Retreat, you may wish to go snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, sail a dinghy, try stand up paddle boarding, or take a cultural tour.
Waitavala has a water slide. Vudawa village is nearby. Wai ni Bau Falls and Bouma Falls are both quite popular shore excursions. Finally, the easiest way to get here is to Fly from Nadi to Matei (Taveuni airport). Then, take a 15-minute taxi ride followed by a 20 minute boat ride over to the secluded resort.
