We had a very enjoyable time. Kura is a resort with a dive shop, as compared to being a dive resort. The people were very nice. I do think that the dive shop operation could be improved with a few tweaks. For instance, they had us store our gear in the ‘red room’ overnight (which we could access if we wanted to do night dives). But that room had little or no ventilation, so it was not a great place to dry/air out your gear.
They should also have a supply of tanks available at all times (even if in the Red room) for those who want to do a night or early morning dive. They turn off the one fresh water shower at 5:00 p.m., so after a night dive there are limited resources to rinse your gear. Finally, the ladder on their pier is past its useful life span.
While the diving in Curacao was great (most vibrant reefs I have seen in years) we were spoiled by the service in Roatan (again, the difference between a resort with a dive shop and a dive resort)
