MV Emperor Voyager is a 98ft long scuba diving yacht based in the Maldives Islands. The ship has 10 guest cabins, 7 twin and 3 doubles, and accommodates up to 20 guests. MV Emperor Voyager Diving
To go scuba diving out here you should be comfortable with drift dives and be an advanced diver due to the local depth range. So, the Best of the Maldives itinerary includes: Rasdhoo Atoll, North & South Ari atoll, North & South Male Atoll, and Vaavu Atoll. Hanifaru & North trip includes: Baa Atol, North Make Atoll, & Lhaviyani Atoll. Pelagic Magic is all about the North & South Ari Atolls with eyes on mantas and whale sharks. Furthermore, MV Emperor Voyager has 4 other trips to the north, south central, deep south and an excursion devoted to sharks as well. So, the dives are performed off of a 65ft long Dhoni/tender, this is where you set up your gear once and done for the week. The dhoni has air compressors, a Nitrox compressor, and fresh water shower. Expect to get in 17-18 dives including one-night dive on this 7-day trip.
There are 26 Atolls and 1200 islands out here. So, the islands are home to 1100 species of fish, 5 species of turtles, 187 species of coral, 145 species of crab, 48 species of shrimp, 21 species of whales and dolphins. MV Emperor Voyager will take you out to dive channels between fringing reefs. You'll also discover secluded lagoons, caves, overhangs, swim throughs, and even small arches. These small pristine healthy reefs are home to an amazing array of sharks, turtles, moray eels, and schools of fish.
Attractions and Activities
On the MV Emperor Voyager the main deck has a large saloon with couches. The main deck also has a large outdoor dining table and a corner bar and drink area. So, meals are served buffet style and include wester and local dishes. Please arrange in advance for any dietary needs. On the upper deck is a home theater and sofas. Their DVD and book library include an interesting selection of marine life material. Above all, the sun deck is the perfect place to relax. Emperor Voyager is rebreather-friendly and able to support Poseidon MKVI, AP vision and manual Megalodon units. Free Nitrox is available for those qualified, or become qualified during the trip.
