This scuba diving resort has its own PADI 5 Star diving center. They have two in-house photo instructors as well as dive instructors for multiple dive certifications. A marine biologist is also available for dives. In addition, they have a dedicated camera room, hot chocolate after night dives, and complimentary Nitrox. Oh, and don't forget the fresh fruit drinks and towels between dives. So, you can dive the Atmosphere Resort & Spa house reef and find rare small creatures, do a mandarin fish dive at dusk, or do a Fluoro dive. As for boats, they use two 30ft long speed boats to dive 20 some sites near the Dauin sanctuaries. An 84ft long outrigger is used to explore some 12 dive sites around the Apo Island Marine Sanctuary. Snorkeling around Apo Island is also fantastic. The islands around Atmosphere Resort & Spa have volcanic origins, so expect to encounter a few pockets of warm black sand. Most other areas of black sand are home to macro size invertebrates and fish; hence the words "Muck Dive". Common critters here include Donald Duck/Long nose shrimp, nudibranchs, and beautifully ornate and colored shelled gastropods. Mimic octopus, green and leatherback turtles are some of the larger characters found in the nearby coral bommies. Meanwhile, dog tooth tuna on up to whale sharks can be occasionally spotted swimming from one destination to another.Attractions and Activities
Atmosphere Resort & Spa was built on a former seven-acre coconut plantation. From this centered location, it's an easy trip over to several waterfalls, Balanan Lake, Malatapay market, or to the shopping malls of Dumaguete. The resort is home to the Blue Restaurant down by the beach where you can encounter some of the finest cuisine on the island. Their breakfast is buffet and cooked to order items and not to be missed. They also serve parties of up to 10 guests in their Treehouse. Fine dining can also be arranged on the beach. In addition to the poolside bar, there is a coffee shop where fresh bakery goods are also available. For activities on site they have a treehouse yoga platform, 24hr Warrior Gym use, 24hr swimming pool use, and a Thursday night cocktail party. For relaxing, visit the spa or have a massage.
Moreover, this is a family resort with plenty of activities to keep children occupied and having fun. It can be difficult to leave here after having such a wonderful time.
