The resort was well organized and exceptional. The accommodations were outstanding, as well as the staff and food. Following are the resorts shortcomings:
I had a group member who had a medical emergency two days prior to departure and Coco View would not consider giving her a future credit.
The resort does not advertise NO TIPS included, but when it got time to leave, they asked for gratuities for their entire staff, not just the dive staff.
I have back issues and every dive operation would allow me either a back roll or to ease in the water from the back of the boat, but our dive minister required me to do a giant stride, which limited my diving, because of the impact.

I love Coco View because of the friendly staff. They have the Best dive operation I have ever experienced! The boats are large and have the "moon well" to come up in the center of the boat when the seas are real choppy or rough. The divemaster's and boat captains are knowledgeable, safe, and extremely helpful! They handle all your gear, rinse it, and put it in your cubby after the dives! They also make sure you have tanks in your cubby to test if using Nitrox! The food is good and plentiful, the entertainment is great, and the accommodations are very clean and spacious! I highly recommend a stay here to just relax or Dive, Dive, Dive!

CoCo-View is an Excellent resort to go, EVERYONE is Very Friendly, and Helpful, the Diving is Great, along with ALL the Food, Beds are Very Comfortable along with the rooms itself. We'll be back here again!

Coco View definitely caters to the diver! I was most pleased, however, that my non-diving wife was more than welcome to join us on the boat to do some snorkeling. The dive operations were amazing: 1 boat/1 crew for the week. Attention to safety and dive briefing, etc. Cleaning stations dockside for all gear is clearly marked; even shampoo for wet suits and boots! Efficient method for exchanging tanks, whether air or nitrox. Gear lockers assigned proximal to your boat. Food was amazing - catering to special requests (i.e. vegan) and selection was absolutely superb. Accommodations - more than appropriate, clean and comfortable! Grounds: Amazing. I will definitely rank this as a premier operation! I will go back.

Yes, we're back....but I wish we weren't! I could have stayed for another week. We had a great time. CoCoView is a beautiful resort and staff couldn't be nicer. The weather didn't want to cooperate at first, but by Tuesday, everything was sunny and warm. Even Taca airlines wasn't as bas as I feared. The flights were on time, and our luggage arrived without any problems....something that I can't always say for US Airways, that's for sure.
All in all, I'd defintely go back.

Stayed in the over the water bungalows - always nice. Diving was good as usual. No unusual sightings this time. Waters were a little rough a few days though. Not a lot of sea life off of the dock walkways this year. That was a little disappointing. All in all, weather was beautiful, food and service was excellent as always and staff were extremely helpful and friendly! We have our trip booked for next year already!

I would recommend Coco View Resort to anyone, diver or non-diver. Accommodations were perfect, staff was attentive, food was plentiful and good. The kitchen staff even made gluten free dishes for my sister-in-law every day! Our boat captain and dive master for the week were awesome. There is an onsite nurse who was great. The Reefs near and around the resort were teaming with life. The Shore diving was incredible! I did snorkeling with my sister in law who was not a diver and we saw tons of aquatic life. There is certainly no lack of exciting sea creatures to see. Even had a spotted ray swim close to shore and put on a show for us. Highly recommend Coco View to anyone. Bring bug repellent as the sand fleas are a bother.

I enjoyed the diving at CoCo View; the accommodations, not so much. Our room, No. 14, looked out over the water but from a porch that was accessible to passers-by from both sides.
We therefore had to keep the doors closed and shades drawn for privacy purposes. The bathroom arrangement consisted of a shower stall to the left, a small toilet room (with a door) to the right, and a single-basin sink between them completely open to the rest of the room. When we went from the toilet to the shower, vice versa, or actually used the sink, we had no privacy whatsoever in front of the sink area. Furthermore, there were no hooks or pegs on which to hang clothing or anything else near the sink, shower or toilet. This pretty much guaranteed a detour to fetch these items from the room itself any time one of us used the shower, sink or toilet. When we first arrived, there wasn't even a chest of drawers in the room but they found one when we complained. When we asked for another room, though, they said they didn't have one. The lighting over the sink and in the toilet room were bare bulbs, which only added to dismal, dormitory-like atmosphere.
The only reason we would return at all would be the diving, which was excellent. Equipment was handled for us by the crew. The dive guides were great, showing us spotted drum, cleaner shrimp, moray eels, sea horses, toadfish, squid, an eagle ray and crabs by day; and, octopi, crabs, and lobster by night. My dive buddy and I were the only divers on their Thursday, January 1, 2009, morning dive trip. Some operations would have cancelled the trip. They took us cheerfully.

Always great diving!! Snorkelers seemed to love it too. Just walking around on the dock, we saw large lobster, baby lobster, octopus, stingray, parrot fish, porcupine fish, cow fish, barracuda, zebra fish, starfish, conch, sand dollar, snail, crab, sea urchin trumpet fish, and green moray eel. Didn't even have to get wet. Underwater saw turtles and tons of squid this year! Good to see sealife is coming back! Divemaster Marcos was the best!! The staff at Coco View are always amazing and always friendly.

We had a Fantastic Time!
We saw a shed lobster skin, 6 seahorses, black flat worm, fire worm and all of the usual suspects. It was GREAT! But the best part were the divemaster & captain on CoCo 4. These men were absolutely terrific!

Our trip to Cocoview was great. The resort worked great for us, the people were great, the food was good, the diving was nice and lots of it - we had over 24 hours underwater the week we were there. The visibility wasn't great on most of the dives, it was pretty windy (20+ knots) a lot of the days, that might have affected the viz, I looked at the weather history and it seem's pretty common for early spring - maybe there is a better time to go, but it was great to get away from 40 degrees and rain everyday in Seattle.

Everything went well. The new managers (Scott and Patti Chandler) are very good. All my requests were fulfilled and they tried hard to meet my diet requirements. I am pretty sure I will repeat this trip next year. Vis in the channel was pretty poor the first week, but cleared up nicely for the second. I feel that over the years the boats are traveling less and less to dive sites that are not close to the resort. They still make a weekly trip to Mary's Place and Calvin's Crack.

Trip was great. Nothing to complain about. It was special to dive with Gringo and Robert. Line at customs to enter Roatan was almost two hours. Special entry for Seniors but we did not know.

We had a good time. The room was nice, meals were good, entertainment was great. No complaints. The diving was easy so didn't see a lot of critters or big stuff but relaxing. Service was good. The boats were nice size for 8-10 I don't know if they put more on them. Our dive master Eddie was great and very personable. I don't know that I would go back there as the diving wasn't real good. Loved the hammock, hated the bug bites! Next year maybe the Caribbean!

The trip was exceptional - Cocoview totally rocks.

Everything was fabulous! This was our 2nd trip to Coco View and it never disappoints. The food is good, nothing fancy just good food and plenty of choices. And how can you beat lobster on Friday night? The diving is top notch! We love the drop off option, so we got in 24 dives in 6 days! The "front yard" is fantastic and you don't even have to go very far to see lots of fish variety. The shore dive out to the ship/plane wreck is one of a kind.

Overall the trip was fun. The set-up of the dive operations was the best I have encountered. The visibility was not always great due to some weather. A little disappointed that they would not take us to a more sheltered area of the island (better visibility) for any dives. Food was good and the people were very nice and accommodating.

Our trip was excellent! It was exactly what we wanted; dive as much or as little as you want! Most of us got 20+ dives in during the 6 dive days; including several night dives. The Coco View Resort was excellent! Great dive operations!! Accommodations were fine. Comfortable rooms, the air conditioning worked and the room services ensured everything was clean and in order daily. Dining provided was outstanding! Plenty of food during all 3 meals each day, and a nice mix of offerings. The office staff and all other services offered was also excellent. Needless to say, most of our divers would go back in a heartbeat!

Coco View was fun! They were well organized, have an excellent staff, and the food was delicious with something for everyone not to mention the Monkey Lala's were just way to good. To me the diving was typical Caribbean diving but coupled with an excellent resort like Coco View I would recommend it to others.

As you know, we just love a good dive, no matter where it is. And nothing perks our fins up like hearing “the second largest barrier reef in the world.” But to make sure we’ve got your attention we’re also going to mention cage-free shark dives, open water dolphin dives, wrecks, and glorious marine life.
