Pro Divers and Kenneth Dive Center are the two closest scuba diving shops. They both rent gear, have scuba dive courses, and do 1 tank and 2 tank boat dives, plus night dives. There are over 400 ships sunk around St. Kitts and at some sights like Paradise Reef you will find cannon balls from the 1700's complete with encrusted corals. Modern wrecks include the 144ft long freighter MV River Taw. MV Corintian and MV Talata are also popular wreck dive sites. Other popular dive sites around Timothy Beach Resort and this once volcanically active island include: The Vents, Aquarium, Brimstone Shallows, Spanish Anchor, Black Coral Reef, Coconut Tree Reef, and Monkey Shoals. Expect to see snapper, stingrays, grouper, grunts, eels, lobster, rays, and turtles munching on sponges.
