We really liked Compass Point. The dive operation was wonderful – every single person we talked to was friendly and helpful. The room was great, clean and looked right out over the ocean and the dive pier.

There were restaurants and a grocery and a liquor store in close driving range, 2 local restaurants in walking range. They weren’t fancy but were fine.

Grand Cayman is VERY expensive. Food, gas, attractions were a little more than I had thought they would be. (Definitely not a criticism just an FYI if anyone wants to know!) We did have to pay about $46 for local taxes when we turned in the car.

Compass Point was worth every penny. My two girls enjoyed it as about the best I've seen. I have no complaints but only good to say about Ocean Frontiers. I don't normally do reviews BUT I will for this trip.

We stayed at Compass Point Resort On Grand Cayman and dove with Ocean Frontiers that operates from the resort. Travel to and from was easy. The accommodations were terrific. We stayed in a one bedroom condo which was well appointed and had all the amenities you would need. The resort has a restaurant/bar on site that was very nice with a relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was included in our package. The resort is located a the quieter east side of the island. It has several good restaurants close by and overall is very pleasant and relaxing. The dive operation was well run. It's a full service operation and they take care of your gear storage. Dive masters were great and overall a very well run operation. The only downside is that we were there in December and apparently it's not the best time to come to see sea life. The coral is healthy and pretty and it has nice topography and lots of fun swim-throughs but we didn't really see any larger critters, only fish which was plentiful. Overall, we would definitely recommend both the resort and the diver operator, but suggest that you research the best time to come, if seeing underwater life is important to you.

We cannot say enough about Compass Point! The staff are friendly, helpful and polite. The dive operation with Ocean Frontiers is probably the best we have ever dived with. They are like a well oiled machine in their preparations and yet they are relaxed, friendly and fun! We had such a great time and would love to come back!
