We think it was great and we had a very good trip. We are very pleased with Den Laman and the accommodations there. So much better than the Sand Dollar and I think being smaller than Captain Don's or Buddy Dive is a plus for us. We'll want to book a trip there again. It was all very good except for United Airlines delaying our flight out of Bonaire by 12 hrs. But, Den Laman gave us a free late checkout so we had a place to hang comfortably and we kept our rental pickup the extra 12 hrs so it all worked out.

Den Laman was Very Satisfactory. Irene in front office went beyond duty to help us! Dive quality was Very Satisfactory but we only did shore dives. Food and Restaurant Service was good. My only negative comment is nearby Eden Beach resort's extremely loud music weekend.

We had a great time at Den Laman in Bonaire-- again! One of our favorite places to stay-- great house reef, away from town, but close to several restaurants, so plenty of options without getting into the truck. As always, Sausan and her colleagues made it easy!

Regarding Den Laman: We stayed in the oceanfront 'Grouper' room. Liked the bedroom set ups, kitchen, bathrooms, big patio facing the ocean, TV, and Wi-Fi. Check in went well and Dive Friends set up went well. Convenient switch out of tanks several times a day. Good equipment storage area between dives and close to a really good dive pier at Bari Reef.
A few things to make note of: Grouper room is on the side of the resort facing 'CoCo' next door. Friday and Saturday nights and when a cruise ship is in port gets obnoxiously loud. Heavy base music turned way up for hours. I complained to the front desk and they said they couldn't do anything until later at night if it kept going on. Thankfully it ended by 10 PM. Gave me a headache two different days. I won't go back to stay in a room on that side of the resort again and will consider other resorts.
·Dive friends really needs to maintain the o rings on their tanks. Lots of o rings leaked when first tightened up (more than a third). We got to the point we just hooked up our reg set when checking tanks to avoid a leaker and brought a small set of rings and a pic with us to switch out sometimes.
·Breeze n Bites was okay for breakfast and that came with the package. We tried dinner twice and it was so so and relatively pricey. We ended up hitting other places for lunches and dinners. The little places along the sea wall in town for lunch and either Buddy's or Habitat for dinner typically.
Regarding the diving: My younger son just came off a cold and struggled to get equalized. We kept it shallower for him for some dives and went on a few deeper dives w/o him (Bari and Salt Pier in particular). They took lots of pictures. Lots of arrow crabs, morays, queen angels, spotted drum and other beautiful/strange animals. Got lucky and met a huge cubera snapper. Dove every night for even better pics and fed the tarpons with our lights. The shallow elk horn reef and old fishing pier near Den Laman were great sites. Water clarity and weather were perfect.

I know one of the things we were giving thanks for was this great vacation.
In brief, we really LOVED Den Laman; the room was so lovely and expansive; the reef top notch. This was the first time that we've ever really enjoyed hanging out in the hotel, and we loved being able to make toast and coffee in the morning. I think this one is a real keeper!! I"m already thinking ahead to our summer dive trip here.

We had a great time. We were a little worried about no AC in the main living areas, but we were perfectly comfortable, especially with the way the rooms are oriented. We always had a nice breeze blowing through, and I really enjoyed *not* stepping into AC after coming back wet from a dive!
Diving with Bonaire Dive & Adventure was good, as it was last year. We enjoy the smaller operation and smaller dive groups on the boats. We were also very pleased with Den Laman's restaurant (forgetting the name). Good food and friendly management.
I saw a couple critters I'd not seen before, namely a baby scorpion fish (only about 2 inches long) and a pigmy octopus, both right next to our dock, in front of Den Laman and on Bari Reef.

Resort was lovely as always. Open, clean, and right on the best reef on Bonaire!
