Castle Comfort was one of the BEST places / people we have had the pleasure of meeting. The people that work there, Ari, the owner, and Gale, the front desk, were absolutely AMAZING! They assisted us in all our times of trouble (I will explain in the 2nd paragraph) and went over and beyond to make our stay absolutely WONDERFUL! I really liked having the whole place to ourselves and although every room was different than the other, each had its own pluses and minuses. But all were clean and comfortable. The food was great and we kept the bar hopping most nights. The dive guys also did a great job. Since we had 22 divers and 1 snorkeler they gave us 2 boats with 1 driver and 2 dive masters per boat which really helped in getting everyone off the boats and in the water in a timely matter as well as splitting the group up by experience so everyone was comfortable. I would HIGHLY recommend Castle Comfort. The diving was fabulous. So pristine, tons of fish, it was like diving in an aquarium. We saw a couple of seahorses, frog fish, rock fish, baby "peas" / puffers, and on one dive we followed an octopus for quite a while watching him change colors as he landed on the rocks and watched him turn all white when the flash from the underwater camera went off. The after diving excursions / hikes were almost as impressive as the diving. We did the Titou Gorge / Trafalgar Falls one day and the Emerald Pool / snorkeling Champagne reef on another. HIGHLY recommend BOTH! Now for our issue, which is no reflection on Castle Comfort (quite the contrary) nor Maduro Dive. Seaborne Air has to be the worst airlines we have ever dealt with. I understand that you take risks flying into very small islands but the airlines should account for this and plan on customer satisfaction which they totally lacked when things go sideways. All that being said I would highly recommend Dominica as a dive destination and especially Castle Comfort.
