Marriage Requirements: Proof of Identity is Original Birth Certificate and 5 photos of each person (4 x 6). Original Certified document stating that individuals are not married. If Divorced the original Decree Absolute stamped with the seal of the court where it was issued. Please note that the Egyptian Notary Public reserves the right to refuse marriage of a Muslim divorcee who have not been divorced in a Muslim court. Widow(er) Original Marriage Certificate and Death Certificate of spouse. Application Statutory declarations have to be taken to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for the consular officer’s signature and stamp to be legalized. Once this has been done, the couple can go to the Notary Public’s Office at Ministry of Justice Annex, Cairo, for a civil marriage.
